Ireland won the first T20I but WI is still heavy favorite to turn the event and level the series in Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.
WI has T20 specialists like Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer, Kieron Pollard, etc. who can make a difference at any moment. Ireland cricket team did a great job in the previous match. The batting lineup especially Paul Stirling, Kevin O’Brien, Any Bilbirnie,etc. are also strong core but WI will probably be more careful in this match.
At the first T20I that played in National Cricket Stadium, St George’s, Grenada, WI bowlers failed to do well and Ireland batting lineup took the advantage. So, Sheldon Cottrell and co. need to be careful about the blunders they made in Grenada.
Except for Joshua Little, the Irish bowling unit isn’t much good and effective. On the other hand, the WI bowling unit is much sharper with the likes of Sheldon Cottrell, Dwayne Bravo, and Hayden Walsh.
West Indies Cricket Team is playing at their own ground and they should do the best use of this advantage over Ireland Cricket Team.
