Pukekura Park is a Garden of National Significance, covering 52ha near the heart of New Plymouth, Taranaki in New Zealand. The park contains a diverse range of native and exotic plants. Pukekura Park is a popular events venue, with a cricket oval where Central Districts, a competitor in the top levels of New Zealand domestic cricket, play some home matches. The ground has hosted a single international match – a one day game between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

Ground Information
Often described as the jewel in New Plymouth’s crown, Pukekura Park covers 52ha (128 acres) right in the heart of the city and is one of New Zealand’s premier botanical gardens. The park has an international Green Flag award and is a Garden of National Significance. However, it is mostly popular due to cricket. NZ domestic league team Central Districts’ home ground is this park. The whole park is covered with small grass. Visitors can watch the game from any view. This is like a tourist spot for them as they can enjoy a quality cricket along with scenic beauty.
