Bangladesh dashing opener Tamim got the proposal to play for a CPL franchise. The franchise offered him 90k to wear their jersey in CPL 2020. However, he refused to take part in the league for two reasons. Further, Mahmudullah and Mustafizur Rahman also rejected the offer to go to Windies.

I was very close to signing with one of the teams but my family is my main concern, and they are also worried about me traveling during this time. I have played in the CPL previously and have always enjoyed my experience there.

Mahmudullah told to ESPNcricinfo.

On the other hand, Tamim refused because it will clash his schedule with Dhaka Premier League matches. He has no interest to refuse his domestic team.

One of the teams approached me but since our domestic competition could start any time, that’s why I decided not to go.

Furthermore,

both Tamim and Mahmudullah already played for CPL. The “Cutter Master” Mustafiz is the only exception. He is yet to take part in this money league. CPL is the first league which is set to begin amid the COVID 19 pandemic. This is also a very popular cricket league. Last year, almost 312 million viewers watched this league.
