Afghanistan failed to do well in ICC World Cup 2019 and their star player Rashid Khan was in off-form totally. But, he is still the biggest star of this war-torn country. He is currently staying at England to play in county cricket. The 20-year-old Afghanistan captain was trying to do something good in there.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is paying back his debt to his nation

The Nangahar-born spinner was at Kidderminster cricket club recently. He went there for a purpose. Afghan physically disable cricket team was there to participate in “World Physically Disable Championship” series. Rashid Khan went there with lots of cricket equipment and gifted those things to those physically disabled players.

Rashid Khan’s presence was also motivated Afghan team in every aspect. Afghan disabled team played very well vs Bangladesh. Two Afghan batsmen Ashraf Khan Karimi and Jamil Shah Mandojai showed their capability against Bangladesh.

Ashraf thanked Rashid after the match with broken English.

Rashid is a huge icon to Afghan cricket and a big inspiration to us. He is not only a good cricketer but he also has a very big heart.

Ashraf scored 81 runs in the match vs Bangladesh while his partner Jamil scored 39.  Rashid Khan gifted them the best cricket products of recent times. Afghan disabled team members were also very happy to see him come there and thanked him for the expensive gifts.

It’s very hard to take the captain armband and leading a team in just 20 years of age. Rashid Khan is trying to do this with his heart’s out. He is also showing positive gesture in out of the field too. The presence and inspiration of him will take Afghan cricket in a much higher position.
