Bangladesh Cricket Board(BCB) CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury informed that BCB still yet to receive the ICC World Cup 2019 reports of Bangladesh Cricket Team. This report contains the overall batting, fielding, bowling reports of every player as well as the reports of managers and other cricket staffs. But, BCB still has not get the WC reports of the Tigers, not yet.

BCB still hasn’t get the WC reports

Bangladesh finished their World Cup campaign by finishing 8th and they were out from the round-robin stage. They reached home on July 7 from the World Cup. Nizamuddin Chowdhury told the media that they still have not the copy of World Cup reports of the players as the team embarked on a tour of Sri Lanka soon after.

After the World Cup campaign, our team went on to Sri Lanka for ODI series. They were playing against Sri Lanka during our monthly board meeting. Sadly, we still don’t receive the report yet. We are hoping that we will get the World Cup report very soon. We will discuss all the matters in our next meeting and set out our targets for the next campaigns.

Nizamuddin Chowdhury expressed in media.

The usual system is that the manager will provide the evaluation report to board members. It’s the general rule for any cricket board. An official report is also expected from the coach regarding the team’s overall performance after the team completed an international series or tournament. This is the system followed by every country’s cricket board.

BCB is unexpectedly unwise about this matter. They are too much ignorant about it and this incident questions the capability of BCB members. BCB is apparently unenthusiastic about getting the team report from the former head coach Steve Rhodes. BCB parted way from him after the Tigers disappointing World Cup campaign. The team manager, Khaled Mahmud, also failed to provide the report to the local governing body of cricket.

Bangladesh’s performance was awful in the World Cup and they failed to reach their target. Only Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim played consistently. After the World Cup, Bangladesh also failed against Sri Lanka and whitewashed to them. In the midst of such incidents, BCB’s reluctance raised the question about their ideology and long-term planning.
