When came to bowl at second, England took the wickets on regular intervals. England sealed their knockout place by beating New Zealand

England has qualified for the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in 27 years. They have not only won this game but have also made Pakistan dream of World Cup semi-finals nearly impossible to come by.

jonny bairstow
Bairstow has become the first English cricketer to score 2 back to back World Cup centuries.

Thanks to Jonny Bairstow‘s consecutive century, England was able to give New Zealand a colossal target of 305 runs. He tied with Jason Roy and kept the run machine open. However, their middle-order batsmen couldn’t add up more. Yet their clever batting made them put out that unreachable target to Kiwis.

Mark Wood was invincible yesterday. He picked up 3 Important wickets of New Zealand. Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer both guarded the runs. Jofra took a maiden over and Ben bowled 5 overs at an economy rate of 2.0. So you can imagine how awesome the English bowlers performed yesterday.

It is shameful for the black caps that they lose to England on such a huge margin. They did not play to their full potential for sure. They definitely haven’t got the momentum of the last couple of games.

England will now face either Australia or India at Edgbaston on Thursday, July 11th. If Australia beats South Africa on 6th July, it will guarantee them top Position and a semi-final against the Kiwis. That will mean England will probably play semi-finals against India.
