English Premier League (EPL) giants Tottenham Hotspurs captain Harry Kane recently talked about his relationship with coach Jose Mourinho. In a word, Pochettino began a new era at Tottenham. However, club authority sacked him for his failure in the first phase of this season’s EPL. Pochettino got sacked at last year’s November due to consecutive poor results.

Consequently, things haven’t change for Tottenham after the appointment of Mourinho. They are still stumbling in the EPL race. Kane has given an interview to BT Sports recently. The former Norwich City forward draws a difference between two coaches. Kane also indicated that he is willing to build up his relationship with Mourinho.

They’re definitely two different styles of manager, but it’s been great. Obviously we’ve had a long period where I was out injured doing rehab, having to watch the team from the sidelines and we’ve had a long time to get to know each other with Covid-19. We’ve built up a good relationship and we talk very often. He wants to win, he’s here to win. Obviously there are no trophies to play for this season but next season that’s his aim.

On the other hand, Mourinho likes to win and he won trophies in the previous clubs he managed. However, Spurs are sitting in the seventh position of point table and there’s no chance they could win any trophy. Kane indicated they’re looking forward to the next season.

I think he’s looking forward, going into next season, having a bit more time to work with the boys in pre-season and getting to know them more.
