India registers a huge victory over Sri Lanka in their last group match at Headingley, Leeds. Sri Lanka posted 264 runs thanks to a superb century from veteran Angelo Mathews(113). But, Indian mercuric openers Rohit Sharma and K L Rahul‘s splendid innings made it easier and beat Sri Lanka by seven-wicket as India reached their target with more than six overs to spare.

Two ”R” Rohit and Rahul are in full form and they showed their capability again. The opening partnership posted 160-runs together and made Lankan’s 264-run looks so easy to chase. Earlier, Sri Lanka faced a tough start as they were losing their wickets gradually until Angelo Mathews and Lahiru Thirimanne were introduced and strike a big partnership.
