Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) has taken very strict rules after the failure of ICC World Cup 2019. They already excluded a few well-known players from their contract list. They have reduced the numbers due to put more pressure on national team players following an unexpected failure in England and Wales tournament.

Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, Babar Azam, Yasir Shah only the three cricketers who got the “A” category from PCB. PCB excluded two veteran all-rounders Shoaib Malik and Mohammed Hafeez from getting the new central contract. However, PCB insisted that both of them will remain available for selection.

The PCB also let reporters know that when they prepared the central contract list, they have taken into consideration about lots of things. Players overall performance, fitness, capability, etc. everything was counted during the contract list. The new central contract will run from August 1, 2019, to June 30, 2020.
