Afghanistan’s two versatile off-spinners Mohammed Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took two wickets each and made a shock on Pakistan’s squad at Headingley on Saturday.

Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman made a duck by Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Mujeeb also took the wicket of Mohammad Hafeez and gave a shock to Pak squad.

Earlier, Afghanistan scored 227 for nine in Leeds on Saturday. Afghanistan had slumped to three for 57 but Asghar Afghan‘s 42 from 35 balls and Najibullah Zadran‘s 42 from 54 balls helped them to post an average score.

Shaheen Afridi scalped four wickets for Pakistan where Imad Wasim and Wahab Riaz managed to take two wickets.

Fans from both teams engaged in physical violence during the game in the gallery and also made huge violence after the match outside the stadium. ICC also promised to take necessary actions against the fans who were violating.

Pakistan is now sitting in the fourth place on the point table with 8 points a single point drift from host England, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.

Afghanistan will face West Windies in their final game on July 4 while Pakistan will face Bangladesh on July 5 respectively.
