The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) announce that they will not extend the contract of their head coach Mickey Arthur. They are yet to announce the new head coach. But, it is now confirmed that the South African born 51 years old coach will not be in Pakistan‘s charge anymore. It is now a hot topic in Pakistan cricket who will be the next head coach after Mickey Arthur’s departure.

PCB will not only firing him. They are also firing bowling coach Azhar Mahmood, batting coach Grant Flower and trainer Grant Ludden. PCB cricket committee organized a meeting about it. Wasim Akram, Misbah-Ul-Haq, Uruj Mumtaz discuss this matter with PCB chairman Ehsan Mani.

They all decided not to extend the contract with Arthur and other coaching staffs. Mani thanks to the committee and board members of PCB for their decision.

The decision just comes after when Mickey Arthur wanted two more years to deliver good results and demanded Shadab Khan to replace Sarfaraz Ahmed as captain. He also demanded Babar Azam should take responsibility on Test cricket. His biggest achievement as Pakistan boss was the winning of ICC Champions Trophy back in 2017.

Mickey Arthur chapter is closed now. The new mission begins for PCB and Pakistan cricket. PCB is expecting they will advertise for new coach very soon and get a response from the high-quality coaches around the world. They want to close down everything before Australia tour.
