Win or lose is decided by the Super Over when there is a tie in a t20 cricket match. But what if there is a tie in Super Over? How the winner could be decided?

let’s take a look by observing the 10th t20 cricket match of IPL 2019.

What if there is a tie in Super Over?

When both teams scored same in a t20 cricket match, the Super Over will take place to bring the winner from this tie situation. Each team gets the chance to bet for one over which is called super over. But what if there is a tie in super over?

Kolkata Knight Riders scored 185 runs in the first innings of the 10th match of IPL 2019 against Delhi Capitals. Then Delhi Capitals also scored in the same runs. But the surprising thing that both KKR and DC had to play the super over again!

When this situation will happen then the winner will be decided as the team who gave the hight number of the boundary.

In the last match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, both teams gave 26 boundaries. So if the score of the super over remains same for each side, the number of the boundary cannot separate the teams.

Hence naturally again a question will arise that if the score of the innings, the score of supper over and also the number of the boundary is the same for both teams, then how the winner can be decided?

According to the t20 cricket rules,

Winner will be the team who scored the maximum run in the sixth ball of the Super Over. If the score remains the same in the sixth ball then it will consider the maximum run in the fifth/fourth/third/second or first ball (consider gradually if the score remains same ).
