Will Afghanistan go back home empty-handed?

Both Afghanistan and the West Indies have lost their hope to go to the next round of the game. However, as per rule goes they must have to play the next game at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Thursday. West Indies is heartbroken now from their recent defeat to Sri Lanka. The same story goes to Afghanistan– the only team in this world cup who hasn’t won a single game. Google is saying that WI has a greater chance to win the match. So will Afghanistan go back home empty-handed?

None of the Afghan players have shown a consistently good performance yet in this world cup. All the stars have failed the fans. Rashid Khan has been the biggest disappointment of their team. In the last match, Their captain Gulbadin Naibs bowling was the representations of misplaced intention. So we are thinking like an experienced player of the team, he will show some different pace with his ball. He surely knows some unique technique but hopefully, he will try to use them on the right moment.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is definitely the next big star of Afghanistan team. From his inauguration in this World Cup, he has bowled really well. As he is relatively new in cricket, the WI players don’t know much about his tricks. It will surely come in handy for Afghanistan. If he can somehow manage to pick up early wickets, they will be able to easily corner West Indies batsmen.

Mohammad Nabi is another name of the Afghanistan team who bears the potential to create havoc during the match. During the match against India, he dismissed Indian opener, KL Rahul. In the 9 overs that he bowled, he gave away only 33 runs which are really terrific. Hopefully, Afghanistan team will get a positive vibe from having him in the squad.
