Zimbabwe gets defeated by Ireland in the bilateral series

Zimbabwe won the toss at first and decided it would be better for them to send the Irish players to field first. However, their decision seemed not to go along their way. Wickets started to fall in a regular interval. Their opener Ryan Burl got dismissed by Tim Murtagh only just 5th ball of his inning. He managed to score only one run yesterday. Craig Ervine and Brendan Taylor also got dismissed pretty soon. Zimbabwe lost their three important wickets within just 10 overs. Then allrounder Sean Williams came and hold the ground steadily. He scored a half-century slowly and faced the balls very carefully. But unfortunately, he fell victim to a run-out. The following batsmen of their teams just came and go on short intervals. They managed to play 46.5 overs and scored 190 runs with the cost of all their players.

Sean Williams scored 67 runs in 103 balls.

When came to bowl, their bowlers were dim to the Ireland batsmen. They tried to cut through the Irish batting line up but they were too tough for Zimbabwe to penetrate. Kyle Jarvis and Christopher Mpofu remained unproductive yesterday as none of them were able to pick up a single wicket of Ireland. It was relatively easy for Ireland to achieve victory. Ireland won the game within 41.2 overs.

It was a really sad day for Zimbabwe that they lost all the three ODI’s. They acknowledged their failure and said they will try their best in the upcoming T’20 matches against Ireland.
