India books their place for the semi-finals after Australia by beating Bangladesh. Two stabbing yorkers from Indian seamer Jasprit Bumrah confirmed the elimination of Bangladesh from the tournament.

Tigers faced hyper odds even before the start of the game as they had to face extreme challenge to reach in the semi-finals. The defeat of 28-runs against India is Tigers fourth defeat in seven matches, and three wins and a washed-out game against Sri Lanka. The whole case left Bangladesh to acquire 7 points when they badly needed a win against India and then another win against in their next game versus Pakistan to keep their dream unbroken.

Tigers put on a great effort as one of their starting player Mahmudullah Riyad missed the game due to injury. They should also blame themselves for this dire situation in a demanding tournament as they missed a great opportunity to beat New Zealand in their second game in this campaign.

Bangladesh managed to beat South Africa, West Windies, Afghanistan in a spectacular way but failed in big times against the likes of England, Australia, India. Earlier, India started brightly as Tamim missed the catch of Rohit Sharma when he posted 9-runs. After got the life, he scored 104-runs while his partner K L Rahul posted 72-runs.

Mustafizur Rahman stole the show for Bangladesh as other pacers stunned by India’s superior batting. Mashrafe stopped bowling after 5 overs. Mustafiz completed his third five-wicket haul for Bangladesh.

The dream is over for the Tigers while India is now flying after getting the semi-finals ticket. After keeping their dream alive for long and putting some stellar shows against big teams, it’s such a heartbreaking for Bangladesh. They can finish the tournament by keeping their head high by beating Pakistan on July 5 at Lord’s, London.
